50 High-Res Light Bokeh Background Textures

Bokeh background textures are among the most favorites for adding nice effects to photographs. If you do not know what bokeh is, it is actually is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.” (Wikipedia).

However, producing nice or good bokeh background in photos depends a lot on the lens and the camera settings used. Bokeh effects are often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas. However, bokeh does not only include highlights since blur can likewise occur in all out-of-focus regions of the image.

In this post, we are sharing 50 high-quality bokeh background textures in high-resolution format. These bokeh background textures were taken using a digital SLR camera (Nikon D90) using a 50mm prime lens. You can download the high-quality textures by clicking on the download links at the end of this post. All textures have a resolution of 4288×2848 pixels. Note that clicking on the preview image will not give you the high-resolution image.
