In my search for a nice wallpaper for my new 24-inch widescreen monitor, I landed in a number of sites that offer high quality widescreen wallpapers. There are actually plenty of wallpapers out there that you can use for your desktops. But choosing and deciding what is best for you is difficult. At least for me. For people like us who spend most of our waking hours in front of our computer, displaying a beautiful picture of nature in as our wallpaper can give a little inspiration to keep us inspired in what we are doing. As for me, nothing beats a beautiful picture of a beach with white sand, clear blue water and palm trees. Meanwhile, other people just viewing a beautiful landscape of mountains and rivers is enough to relax them.

I found online ranging from a beautiful sunset setting on a tropical beach to a tranquil scenery of a lake with mountains in the background. The resolution of these widescreen wallpapers range from 1920×1080 to 1920×1200, which are suitable for 21 to 28-inch widescreen monitors. Some say that the 1920×1200 wallpapers can be used for HDTV monitor and widescreen Plasma HDTV. I have not tried it though.
