35 Cool Text Effects Using Smart Layers in Photoshop
Creating cool text effects in Photoshop has now become so much easier and fun. Thanks to the Smart PSD, we can now download pre-made text effects that we can customize to suit our own requirements. In the earlier days of designing in Photoshop, we usually make text effects using either the Photoshop Style or Photoshop actions. These techniques are a lot more complicated and customizing them is not also easy.
Using Smart PSDs, you can just select the Smart Objects (located in layers) to edit the portions that you wish to edit or customize. Each smart object has a separate source file that you can edit independently and nondestructively. Editing the source file lets you edit the layer independently of the whole PSD file. For example, you wish to apply a certain 3D effect for your logo. You do this by replacing just the type/text layer with the name of your brand. Thus, you have your own logo with the same 3D effect.
