20 Sets of Free Plaid Patterns and Swatches to Boost Your Collection
Plaid patterns refer to designs consisting of crossed horizontal and vertical bands in two or more colors. Traditionally, plaid patterns were used for woven cloths. These days, however, these designs have countless uses from fashion design or textiles to graphic and web designs. Plaid patterns are also popular for product packaging, gift wrappers, among many other things. Common examples of these designs include tartan, gingham, check pattern and madras.

This is the first of five sets of plaid patterns from this author. This batch contains 110 designs featuring horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. The zip file contains just the .pat file, which you can load in your Photoshop program to create seamless backgrounds. Since the plaid pattern is seamless, you can actually create backgrounds in Photoshop of any size and fill them with these patterns.
